Nigeria's top scorer representing a top division club in Europe, Paul Onuachu is attracting interest from Belgium, a week before the close of the winter transfer market in the country.
According to Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad, FC Midtjylland have rejected a bid from Racing Genk for the lanky attacker.
The offer from the Belgian First Division pacesetters was between four and five million euros but it was not accepted.
Ahead of a possible departure from FC Midtjylland, Onuachu was left out of the squad for a friendly against Hamburger SV on Wednesday, a game in which six Nigerians Frank Onyeka, Ayo Okosun, Sunday Odeh, Jibril Abubakar, Babajide David and Rilwan Hassan featured.
The 24-year-old has played nonstop at FC Midtjylland since 2012, scoring 66 goals in 166 appearances while providing 22 assists.
With 11 goals to his name, no Nigerian player has scored more goals than Onuachu in the European Leagues so far this season.
