Super Eagles Drop Two Spots To 46th In First Fifa Ranking Of 2019; Fourth In Africa
Football governing body, Fifa, on Thursday, February 7 published its first rankings of National Teams of 2019.

Compared to their 2018 year end ranking, the Super Eagles have dropped two places in the global ranking and now occupy the 46th position while they remain the fourth best team in Africa.

Senegal, Tunisia, Morocco, Nigeria and Democratic Republic of Congo are the top five countries in the CAF region.

The Super Eagles next opponent in a meaningless 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, Seychelles are very low in the rankings at 189th while their other opponent next month, Egypt occupy a global ranking of 57th.

There were no changes in the top twenty, with Belgium, France, Brazil, Croatia and England the top five teams in that order.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on 4 April 2019.
