Leicester City's Ndidi Is Statistically The Best Midfielder In The Premier League For March

Nigeria national-teamer Wilfred Ndidi has been selected in Whoscored.com's Team of the Month (March 1-31) for the Premier League.

The football statistics website has put together a Team of the Month featuring the best eleven players in each position, with the Leicester City star slotting in in central midfield in a 4-4-2 formation.

The other three players classed as midfielders in the best eleven are Manchester City trio Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Raheem Sterling.

Players were rated out of ten for their performances and Ndidi was the best rated midfielder with a score of 7.9.

The 22-year-old was influential as Leicester City won three of their four games in March, starting and going the distance in each game.

After 32 rounds of matches in the English top flight, the former Genk star has racked up the most tackles (120), placing first ahead of Everton's Idrissa Gueye (117) and Crystal Palace's Aaron Wan-Bissaka (109).
