Top Five Nigerian Players With Most Appearances For Club And Country 2018-2019 Season

Several players in line to represent Nigeria at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations will need to take a break in order to recharge their batteries before reporting for international duty in the first week of June.
Allnigeriasoccer.com has compiled a list of the top five Nigerian players who have played the most games for club and country since the start of the season, and to be eligible to be included on the list, players must be on the books of a top flight club in Europe.
1) Alex Iwobi (54 games, 48 Arsenal 6 Nigeria) : The Hale End Academy product is Arsenal's most utilized player by Unai Emery since he took over the reins at the North London club.
3) Wilfred Ndidi (43 games, 38 Leicester City 5 Nigeria) : The Nath Boys product is one of the first names on Leicester City's team-sheet and is the only Nigerian player to feature in every single match in the Premier League this term.
The central midfielder has been on the pitch for approximately 2.6 days over the course of the season, more than any other Nigerian player.
4) Stephen Odey (41 games FC Zurich) : The young striker is the second Nigerian player to have reached more than 40 games this season for his club.
Apart from the Super League, FC Zurich featured in this season's Europa League and the Swiss Cup.

Apart from the AFCON qualifier in Seychelles, he has featured in every single game played by the national team, 27 in total, since May 2016. The central defender has accumulated 3,395 minutes this term for club and country.
