Nigeria U20 Midfielder Trains With Bournemouth First Team Pre-Tottenham Hotspur
Published: May 04, 2019
Nigeria U20 international Nnamdi Ofoborh could be in line for a Premier League debut before the end of the season, with the Bournemouth squad ravaged by injuries.
The central midfielder was pictured training with Bournemouth's first-teamers on Friday in their final workout before Tottenham Hotspur visit the Vitality Stadium.
Manager Eddie Howe is sweating on the fitness of several key players, including Dominic Solanke, ahead of their final home game of the season and admitted during yesterday's press conference that he has to give opportunities to other players to see how they perform at this level.
Ofoborh has been knocking on the first team door after impressing for the Cherries U23 squad, whom he captained to win the Central League Cup on April 24.
The 19-year-old was included in the match day eighteen for the Premier League match against Fulham on April 20 and was an unused substitute in the League Cup matches against MK Dons, Blackburn Rovers and Norwich City.
Ofoborh made his debut for the Flying Eagles in a friendly against Egypt in March 2018.
