Official: Nigeria's Best Wing Back In The Whole Of England, Odubajo Released By Brentford
Published: May 08, 2019
EFL Championship outfit Brentford have announced their released list following the conclusion of the 2018-2019 regular season and one of the decisions made was that they have parted company with Moses Odubajo.
Odubajo returned for a second spell at Brentford in August 2018 and went on to make 34 appearances in all competitions.
The versatile wing-back had signed a one-year contract with an option of an additional season at the discretion of the club which has not been activated.
Once upon a time, the Super Eagles were facing a crisis at right-back and Odubajo was the Nigeria Football Federation's number one candidate to take up the position, but a career-threatening long term injury he suffered put paid to his dreams of representing Nigeria at the 2018 World Cup.
To this day, the London-born Odubajo is widely regarded as the best wing-back of Nigerian descent in the whole of England, if you consider the fact that his main rival, Ola Aina now plays on loan at Torino.
The 25-year-old lists Millwall, Leyton Orient, St Albans City, Sutton United, Bishop's Stortford and Hull City among his previous clubs.
