Ex-Golden Eaglets Skipper Nets First Professional Goal Six Years After Lifting FIFA U17 World Cup
Musa Muhammed netted his maiden professional goal as HNK Gorica thrashed Istra 1961 4-1 on game week 33 in the Croatian 1.HNL on Friday evening.

The fullback captained the Golden Eaglets to win their fourth FIFA U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in 2013.

Introduced at half time, Muhammed wrapped up the scoring in the 83rd minute of the contest at the SRC Velika Gorica (Velika Gorica), his team's fourth goal.

It has taken Muhammed 53 league matches to score his first professional goal, 41 of which he started.

The 22-year-old previously had spells with Lokomotiv Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Istanbul Basaksehir (Turkey) and FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina).

Apart from the Golden Eaglets, he has featured for Nigeria at U20 and U23 level as well as the Super Eagles, for whom he has made three appearances.

Muhammed has a contract with HNK Gorica until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
