Super Eagles Striker Osimhen Suffers Injury Scare In Training
Published: May 22, 2019Sporting Charleroi had been sweating on the fitness of Victor Osimhen ahead of their final match of the season against Kortrijk on Wednesday, May 22.
According to Sudpresse, the Nigeria national-teamer had to limp out of training on Monday after a duel with Stergos Marinos.
The Wolfsburg loanee was hit on the shin and needed the help of the physiotherapists to leave the field.
But there was positive news on the fitness of Osimhen during Sporting Charleroi's last workout on Tuesday as he trained normally with his teammates, and manager Felice Mazzù assured that he's in the provisional squad.
The 20-year-old has turned out to be one of the revelations of the Belgian First Division A, scoring 16 goals in 32 matches, which attracted the attention of AC Milan.
Having been one of the top scoring Nigerian players in Europe this season, he was included in Nigeria's provisional squad list for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
