Nigeria-Eligible Attacker Nominated For Liverpool Player Of The Year - Women's Team
Published: May 22, 2019Nigeria-eligible attacker Rinsola Babajide has been nominated for Liverpool's Player of the Year - Women's Team.
The England youth international has been shortlisted for the award along with nineteen first-team players and will discover if she won the accolade when the winner is announced on Monday, May 27.
Unarguably, the highlight of Babajide's season was netting a hat-trick in the 5-2 demolition of Bristol City a month ago.
She also got on the scoresheet in matches against Brighton & Hove (WSL) and Durham (WSC).
The 20-year-old was shortlisted for Liverpool's Goal of the Month for April but lost out to Mohamed Salah, whose unstoppable strike against Chelsea took first place in the vote.
She joined Liverpool in January 2018 from Watford Ladies and also lists Crystal Palace and Millwall Lionesses as her previous clubs.
