Super Falcons Star Ordega On Last 16 Chances, O3 Partnership, France Captain Henry
Published: June 17, 2019
Shanghai Shenhua striker Francisca Ordega fancies the Super Falcons chances of progressing to the last 16 of the 2019 Women's World Cup when they face hosts France at Roazhon Park, Rennes on Monday evening.
Ordega, who is participating in her third Women's World Cup, highlighted the qualities of Nigeria's attacking trident of herself, Asisat Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie (O3).
''I believe in this one because we have a lot of good quality players, we have a lot of young up-and-coming players and experienced players, a lot of professionals in the team,'' Ordega told reporters at the pre-match press conference.
''We have a lot of good opportunity and I believe we can go past the group stage because of our strength.
''We have a lot of good, speedy players - me, Oshoala and Desire upfront. If we can convert our chances, we have a very good chance.''

The former Washington Spirit star is relishing the prospect of facing France captain Amandine Henry, boasting that she always had the upper hand when their clubs met in the United States.
''I played against Henry in the United States and I think each time I played her team, I always scored against them, so she is not a threat. Left to me, I know how to deal with her but that is a story for another day.
''They are good, I respect them individually and a team as a whole but I don't see any of them being a threat to me or my teammates,'' she added.

Nigeria lost 8-0 to France in the last meeting between the two countries in April 2018.
