2019 AFCON: Yobo Names One Syli Star Who Can Cause Nigeria Defence Problems
Published: June 26, 2019
Former Nigeria captain Joseph Yobo believes Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Ibrahima Traoré can cause problems to the Super Eagles defence when both teams face off in an Africa Cup of Nations Group B match this afternoon.
Although Liverpool's Naby Keita has returned to the starting line-up against the Super Eagles, the ex-Everton defender reckons that Traore will be the key man for Paul Put's side.
''Traore is very good, he is a left-footed player playing on the right, he can make the difference,'' Yobo said on SuperSport.
''He is the one that won the penalty that gave them the equaliser, it is very important to keep an eye on him and I think that's why they've been switches in the Super Eagles team.''

The Super Eagles were involved in a pay dispute on Tuesday leading to Ahmed Musa boycotting the mandatory pre-match press conference, and Yobo has blamed the Nigerian Federation for the bonus row.
''I experienced it during my era as captain of the team, I thought by now they've eradicated that problem.
''Why will the team qualify for a tournament and you don't make the necessary provisions for them like allowances and bonuses.
''Everything should be ready so that they won't be distracted, it's make the team fully focused, fully ready.
''It happened in my time, the President had to intervene, Nigerian teams should make necessary preparations or else psychologically the team could be affected,'' Yobo concluded.
