USA Call-Up For Leicester City GK & Atlanta United Super Kid; Duo Also Eligible For Nigeria
Published: August 29, 2019United States U17 Men's National Team head coach Raphael Wicky has named two players of Nigerian descent on his roster for a four-nation tournament holding in the Netherlands from September 5-9.
Leicester City goalkeeper Chituru Odunze and exciting Atlanta United defender George Bello have been called up for international duty.
While Odunze was raised in the United Kingdom, Bello was born in Abuja before relocating to the United States.
United States will be in Assen for a tournament that includes Netherlands, Mexico and Denmark, and start their campaign against the Mexicans on September 5, before battling the hosts on September 7 and the Danes on September 9, with all the three matches taking place at Sportpark Marsdijk.
Both Bello and Odunze have made six appearances each for the United States U17 team.
The Americans will face Senegal, Japan and Netherlands in the group stage of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup holding in Brazil.
