Lille Coach Issues Victor Osimhen Injury Update That Will Delight Rohr And Super Eagles Fans

Lille coach Christophe Galtier has suggested that Victor Osimhen is in contention to face Marseille in the Ligue 1 on Saturday, November 2, news that will certainly delight manager Gernot Rohr and Super Eagles fans after the striker was included in a list of 23 players for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho.
The Nigeria international injured the left adductor against Bordeaux and had to be substituted in the 58th minute.
Lille continued their preparations for the visit to the Orange Vélodrome on Thursday and the excellent news is that the Super Eagles star participated in a part of the full training session after undergoing individual training the previous day.
Providing an injury update on Osimhen, Galtier told reporters at today's press conference : ''Victor is operational even though we managed (his physical condition) throughout the week.
''Yesterday, he prepared himself individually. Today it was collective. Tomorrow (Friday) he will do the whole session''.

Osimhen has tallied 8 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions for Lille so far this season.
