Published: November 01, 2019
Nigeria U17 players have vowed not to take their feet off the pedal when they battle Australia in their final Group B fixture at the ongoing U17 World Cup on Friday night at the Estadio Bezerrao, Brasilia.
Having won their opening two fixtures against Hungary and Ecuador, the Manu Garba led side are in confident mood and can top their group with another win against the Aussies.
Captain Samson Tijani said : ''I think everything is going to be good to us and I think we are going to work hard more than before.
''There is no easy game, the game was hard against Hungary and Ecuador and Australia will be hard too. We come in peace but we mean business, and I think we are going to win by God's grace.''
Monsuru Opeyemi who started against Hungary and Ecuador added : ''Nigerians should be expecting victory because we have trained and all what the coach taught us we are going to apply it and with that we are going to win.''
Striker Peter Olawale said : ''From the beginning of the competition we have been working hard to always get victory. We won't give that opportunity because we want to top our group also, so we will fight to get that three points.''
