'I Am Not The Only Striker That Can Score' - Osimhen Calls On Kalu, Chukwueze To Share Goalscoring Burden
Published: November 13, 2019
In-form Lille striker Victor Osimhen has urged Samuel Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu to ease the goalscoring burden on him when the Super Eagles face Benin in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on Wednesday evening.
The 2015 U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner will lead the Super Eagles attack against the Squirrels, flanked by the Villarreal and Bordeaux wingers, barring any last-minute changes to the starting line-up.
''I am one hundred percent ready, of course I will try to get the goals for the team but I am not the only striker that can score, we have Samuel Chukwueze and Samuel Kalu and of course our captain is back with us, so we are looking forward to the game,'' Osimhen told the Super Eagles Media Team.
The Super Eagles are making a return to Uyo for the first time in two years and Osimhen has promised the fans victory in today's clash.
''It feels good (Uyo), it's like home for us always and we are ready to give our best and make the fans happy.
''We have been together for almost two years now, the coaches know the quality of each of the players so I think we are ready for the game,'' he concluded.

Osimhen netted his maiden goal for the Super Eagles in a 2-2 draw against Ukraine in September 2019.
