Former Nigeria U20 Invitee Bags Second Consecutive Brace For Rotherham United
Published: November 27, 2019
Former Flying Eagles invitee Freddie Ladapo continued his impressive run of goalscoring form with another brace for Rotherham United in a 3-2 loss to Portsmouth in a League One game yesterday.
Three days prior to the clash at Fratton Park, the ex-Crystal Palace striker scored twice for United as they came from two goalsdown to beat MK Dons 3-2, and he showed his predatory instincts again on Tuesday.
Shortly after Pompey had gone ahead in the first half, Ladapo pounced on a rebound to beat goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray and restored parity.
He will go on to notch his double of the night when he stepped up to convert a penalty just past the hour mark.
Thus, the 26-year-old is one goal shy of hitting double figures for goals scored this season, with his tally currently standing at nine goals from the League One, FA Cup and the League Cup.
