Nigerian Federation Provide Big Update On International Future Of Heracles Almelo's Dessers
Published: December 05, 2019
Heracles Almelo goal machine Cyriel Dessers has taken a big step towards fulfilling his dream of becoming a Nigeria international, with the Nigeria Football Federation confirming on Thursday afternoon that he has opted to represent the three-time African champions over his country of birth, Belgium.
Dessers' fine form for Heracles Almelo has not gone unnoticed by the President of the Nigerian Federation Amaju Pinnick and the football administrator has held positive talks with the striker.
He was recognised for his impressive performances for Heracles Almelo during the month of November after scooping the Eredivisie Player of the Month award.
''After series of discussions with the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, I have decided to fully commit myself to Nigeria and the Super Eagles and I am going to work to be part of the team and fight for more success for the country.
''I a proud Nigerian, and I can't wait to fulfill my dream of wearing the green white green,'' the Nigerian Federation quoted Dessers as saying in a post on Twitter.
