Scunthorpe United Keeping Tabs On Nigeria U23 Invitee Nicknamed The Destroyer
According to reporting by footballleagueworld, EFL League Two club Scunthorpe United are keeping tabs on Nigerian central defender Osaze Urhoghide with a view to a transfer in the January transfer window.

Nicknamed the Destroyer, Urhoghide has yet to make his professional debut for Sheffield Wednesday but often trains with the first team.

It is believed he caught the eye of Scunthorpe United on the back of his impressive performances for Sheffield Wednesday's U23 team in the Professional Development League.

Aged 19, the center back arrived The Owls as a free agent in the summer following his release by AFC Wimbledon.

The physical defender earned a contract with the English second-tier club after impressing whilst on trial.

Sheffield Wednesday are open to the idea of loaning Urhoghide to further his development.

He trained with Nigeria's Olympic National Team in 2019 ahead of an U23 AFCON qualifier against Libya.
