Iwobi Doubtful For Everton's Festive Fixtures After Suffering Hamstring Injury Vs Arsenal
Alex Iwobi has emerged as a huge doubt for Everton's upcoming matches during the festive programme after suffering an injury in Saturday afternoon's goalless draw against his former team Arsenal at Goodison Park, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

Eleven minutes into the contest, the Toffees number 17 had to make way for Cenk Tosun due to discomfort.

The initial prognosis within the Everton camp is that the Nigeria playmaker suffered a hamstring injury, making him doubtful for their next league game against Burnley.

With newly appointed Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti watching on from the stands, Iwobi missed a great opportunity to show off his qualities to the Italian manager.

Since his deadline day transfer to Everton, the Nigerian has been included in every matchday squad - 20 in total across all competitions - with the exception of the opening day match vs Crystal Palace, where he was ineligible to be fielded.

Iwobi started all the four matches in Duncan Ferguson's spell as caretaker manager of Everton.
