Three Nigerian starlets in the shape of Tolaji Bola, James Olayinka and Bukayo Saka are in contention for a role when Arsenal tackle Chelsea in their Premier League date at the Emirates stadium on Sunday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Defender Bola and midfielder Olayinka are yet to earn their senior bows for the North London club, but have been knocking on the door in recent weeks following their invitations to train with the senior setup.
Olayinka was was a non-playing substitute for the Gunners when they drew 2-2 with Standard Liege in a Europa League game this month while Bola was an unused substitute vs Nottingham Forest in the League Cup back in September.
Saka on his part, has established himself as an important part of Arsenal's senior team, and is expected to tuck in at left back versus the Blues yet again, after impressing in the role.
Manager Mikel Arteta had reportedly observed the trio at close quarters during Saturday evening's training session at the Emirates Stadium, just before the Gunners play their last game of 2019.
