Leicester City Goalkeeper Eligible For Nigeria Gets United States Call-Up
Leicester City youth-teamer Chituru Odunze has received a call-up to United States U20 National Team, the United States Soccer Federation announced on Wednesday.

The Nigeria-eligible goalkeeper is among seven players playing internationally called up by new United States U20 coach, Anthony Hudson.

Odunze is making a return to United States youth team for the first time since the conclusion of the 2019 FIFA U17 World Cup in Brazil.

The 17-year-old was selected in goal on two occasions during the U17 World Cup as the Americans failed to make it past the group stage.

Odunze and his teammates will train at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. Hudson before facing Mexico in two friendlies on January 16 and 18.

This season, he has featured in four matches for the Foxes in the U18 Premier League, posting one shutout against Arsenal while conceding five goals, and was on the bench for a Premier League 2 game against Wolverhampton Wanderers in August 2019.

The 6-foot-7 goalkeeper is also eligible to represent Canada apart from Nigeria and United States.
