Chelsea Loanee Ugbo Makes Transfer Decision Amid Interest From Championship Clubs
Published: January 29, 2020Ike Ugbo will be seeing out the remainder of his loan deal with Dutch second tier club Roda JC Kerkrade, according to reports.
Goal.com claims the Chelsea-owned striker had offers from unnamed Championship and Eredivisie clubs to cut short his loan deal before expiration but has opted to remain at his current club.
Roda are the fourth club Ugbo has been loaned out to after previous spells at Barnsley, Milton Keynes Dons and Scunthorpe United, but his time at the Football League clubs was not as successful as his current spell in the Netherlands.
The 21-year-old has carried the struggling club on his shoulders, notching up 11 goals in 22 league appearances since his loan move to the Netherlands.
Ugbo has entered the final eighteen months of his contract with Chelsea, whom he joined thirteen years ago.
Roda JC, who sit 17th in the 20-team Eerste Divisie table, face TOP Oss in their next league game on Friday, January 31.
