Manchester United Offered The Chance To Sign 2019 AFCON Golden Boot Winner
Published: January 30, 2020Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign former Nigeria international Odion Ighalo, according to reports emanating from the English press.
The Mirror claims that the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Golden Boot winner could secure a move to The Red Devils before the close of the winter transfer market.
Ahead of a possible move to Old Trafford, Ighalo is flying back to England today and also because the Chinese Super League has been postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in China that has taken over 130 lives.
Manchester United are believed to be targeting a striker to bolster the squad following the injury suffered by Marcus Rashford.
The 30-year-old Ighalo has a contract with Shanghai Shenhua for two more seasons and a loan move to United is being mooted for the former Watford goal poacher.
He scored 40 goals in 100 appearances during his time with the Hornets before his move to China in January 2017.
