Left-Footed Nigeria-Eligible Midfielder Drawing Interest From Arsenal, Wolverhampton Wanders
Published: January 30, 2020
PSV Eindhoven's Nigeria-eligible starlet Nonso Maduke is attracting interest from two Premier League clubs.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers are mulling over a move for Madueke following his recent promotion to PSV's first team.
Aged 17, the left-footed attacking midfielder made his Eredivisie debut this month as PSV were held to a 1-1 draw by VVV Venlo, coming off the bench to replace Bruma in the 73rd minute, and was in the matchday 18 against PEC Zwolle and FC Twente, and Apollon Limassol in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
In 2018, Maduke turned down the chance to sign a scholarship deal with Tottenham Hotspur before moving to PSV, with whom he is contracted with until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
Apart from Arsenal and Wolves, a pair of European clubs namely Valencia and RB Leipzig are monitoring the situation of the highly-rated midfielder, who was a member of England's squad to last summer's European U17 Championship.
Maduke was in sensational form for PSV youth teams before earning a promotion, having a hand in 17 goals (9 goals, 8 assists) in 15 games.
