Nigeria International Striker Plays For Watford U23s Again And Scores In Loss To QPR
Published: February 18, 2020
Isaac Success was among Watford's first-teamers that featured in Monday night's 3-2 loss to Queens Park Rangers in a Professional Development League 2 South fixture at Clarence Park, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Joining the Super Eagles striker in the Hornets starting line-up were Dream Team VII midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru, Nathaniel Chalobah, João Pedro, Adalberto Peñaranda, Domingos Quina and Callum Whelan.
This is the second U23 game Success has been involved in in recent weeks, having tasted action in the 4-1 rout of Colchester United late last month.
A departure from the Vicarage Stadium outfit had been on the cards in the winter transfer market but the window slammed shot without the move materializing.
Queens Park Rangers led 3-0 after 47 minutes courtesy of strikes from Nigerian duo Aramide Oteh and Olamide Shodipo, before Success reduced the arrears with fifteen minutes left on the clock.
With another first team game around the corner - a Premier League clash against Manchester United - it remains to be seen if manager Nigel Pearson will include the number 22 in the matchday squad.
Success has made the Hornets matchday 18 only once in their last four Premier League matches.
