Published: February 21, 2020
Manchester United and Club Brugges shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw in a Europa League fixture at Jan Breydelstadion on Thursday evening, with two big defensive errors costing both teams a win.
Emmanuel Dennis opened the scoring by lobbing goalkeeper Romero, assisted by his own goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, but Anthony Martial equalised before halftime.
Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves blamed The Reds defenders and Romero for the goal scored by Dennis and highlighted the qualities of the Nigeria international, noting that he was on target against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
Speaking as a pundit on BT Sport, Hargreaves said : "The mistake is clear and obvious from Manchester United defensively, we said about Dennis, against Real Madrid, needs that space to run in behind, he's more than capable, he's so quick.
"They're just unorganized because of the corner but Romero is too far off his line, if he stays in goal I think they've got a chance that Brugge don't score.
"To be fair, young Dennis is a goalscorer, good finisher".
