It has come to light that former Tottenham Hotspur coach Mauricio Pochettino visited the Emirates Stadium in London about a month ago.

According to the Daily Mail, the Argentine football tactician and his lieutenant Jesus Perez watched Arsenal lose 4-2 to Manchester City in the Premier League 2, a game with six players of Nigerian descent on parade.

Folarin Balogun and exciting midfielder Miguel Azeez featured for the Gunners from the off, goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, Nathanael Ogbeta and Felix Nmecha were named in the Citizens starting lineup and former Flying Eagles invitee Fisayo Dele-Bashiru hopped off the bench in the 65th minute.

A seventh player of Nigerian parentage in Tobi Omole was on the Arsenal bench for the entirety of the game.

Balogun fired home to give Arsenal the lead after two minutes and grabbed his second of the game when he raced through on goal and slotted past Bazunu.

This season, the 18-year-old has tallied 13 goals in all competitions, with ten of them coming in the Premier League 2.
