Ighalo's Maximum Transfer Value Revealed By CIES Amid Speculation Over Manchester United Future
Published: March 31, 2020
Odion Ighalo's maximum transfer value has been revealed by CIES Football Observatory amid speculation suggesting that the former Nigeria international could be signed on a permanent deal by Manchester United.
The Neuchâtel, Switzerland -based organization has recommended that Ighalo's transfer fee cannot exceed seven million euros and the minimum fee to sign the striker is four million euros.
Ighalo has been in the news since the Premier League was postponed, with reports suggesting that Shanghai Shenhua will demand fifteen million pounds for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation top scorer.
However, in reality, allnigeriasoccer.com understands that no discussions have been held between Manchester United and Shanghai Shenhua on the permanent acquisition of the striker.
The original plan when Ighalo joined United in the January transfer window was for him to return to China at the end of May but the agreement could be extended because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 30-year-old has played 88.89 percent of Manchester United's matches since his transfer was confirmed by the Premier League giants.
