Tottenham, Crystal Palace-Linked Midfielder Eze Named To Championship Team Of The Season So Far
Published: March 31, 2020
Queens Park Rangers' midfielder Eberechi Eze has the honour of being the only Nigeria-eligible player named to Whoscored.com Championship Team of the Season so far.
The likes of Ovie Ejaria (Reading), Bright Osayi-Samuel (Queens Park Rangers), Tosin Adarabioyo (Blackburn Rovers) and Semi Ajayi (West Brom) who have caught the eye for their respective clubs have failed to make the cut.
In a 4-4-2 formation, the midfield four containing Eze, Jed Wallace, Matheus Pereira and Saïd Benrahma have contributed to 76 goals (38 goals, 36 assists) with the Anglo-Nigerian accounting for twenty.
Eze has shown brilliant form throughout the campaign and he's on the radar of Premier League duo Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace ahead of the opening of the transfer window.
With a rating of 7.45, the England U21 international was the highest rated player named to the Championship Team of the Season.
Eze has a contract with Queens Park Rangers until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
