'I Almost Gave Away Two Goals' - Ndidi On The Super Eagles Game He'll Never Forget

Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has admitted that the World Cup qualifier against Zambia at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in October 2016 was his most difficult game as a Super Eagles player.
In Gernot Rohr's second match in charge of the national team, the German was still searching for a reliable right back and was forced to field Ndidi as a makeshift fullback against the Copper Bullets.
Ndidi was yet to find his footing in the Super Eagles having made four appearances off the bench, before he was handed his full debut against Zambia and the holding midfielder confessed that he struggled over the course of ninety minutes, playing in an unaccustomed position.
"I cannot forget the Zambia game, it was tough, I almost gave away two goals, I was so tired, I didn't know what I was doing," Ndidi told his followers on Instagram Live.
"That was the last time I played right back. Most people don't understand left back and right back, especially when you are playing for an attacking team, they work."

Nigeria were leading the Zambians 2-0 thanks two first half goals from Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho but the home team pulled a goal back through Collins Mbesuma after a defensive error by Kenneth Omeruo.
