Most Prolific Striker In The Dutch Eredivisie : Heracles Star Dessers Makes Top Ten
Published: April 10, 2020
Super Eagles hopeful Cyriel Dessers is the joint leading scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie with 15 goals along with Feyenoord's Steven Berghuis.
Though the Heracles Almelo marksman is leading the scoring charts, he is not the most prolific striker in the Dutch top-tier.
Fox Sports has drawn up a list of ten players with the least number of minutes to score a goal and Dessers ranked tenth, scoring a goal every 154 minutes.
With the exception of the 3-2 loss to Feyenoord on January 25, the Belgian-Nigerian frontman has gone the distance in every single game contested by Heracles Almelo in the league since transferring to the club.
The 25-year-old has logged 2,312 minutes from the 26 matches he was in action.
Since moving to the Netherlands, Dessers' best minutes-per-goal ratio came in the 2016-2017 campaign when he scored every 117 minutes.
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Ajax), Reza Ghoochannejhad (PEC Zwolle), David Neres (Ajax), Donyell Malen (PSV Eindhoven) and Quincy Promes (Ajax) are the top five most prolific strikers in the Eredivisie.
