'His Waist Is Like Rubber' - Ighalo Backs DR Congo-Eligible Wan-Bissaka To Play For England
Published: April 12, 2020
Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo is tipping Democratic Republic of Congo-eligible right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka to become a full England international in the near future.
Signed from Crystal Palace last summer, the London-born defender played a non-binding game for DR Congo before he became provisionally cap-tied to his country of birth in 2018 when he featured in an U21 EURO qualifier.
Ighalo is impressed by the qualities of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and thinks he's one of the best right-backs in the world.
"That guy is one of the best right-backs," Ighalo said in a Twitter interview with Juliet Bawuah.
"His waist is like rubber, the way he bends and steals the ball, the way he tackles the ball away, sometimes I'll be afraid that he's going to get injured.

"One second he's up again and he's going again, pursuing the ball, he's very difficult to get past.
"He's a very, very good player. In the near future he's going to be playing for the England national team, his work-rate is amazing. "

Ighalo has had a fine start to his career at Manchester United since joining from Shanghai Shenhua in the January transfer window, scoring 4 goals in his first three starts.
