It's been an eventful football season for Nigerians plying their trade in the different European football leagues, and most of the very impressive ones can sit back during this enforced break and reminisce on a job well done so far for their various clubs.
Prominent amongst them is Wilfred Ndidi who has proved influential for Leicester City in the English Premier League, thus helping punters bag lots of fortune by staking on the Foxes with the best betting sites in Nigeria.
The 23-year-old midfielder has swiftly earned cult status at the King Power stadium, and his performances week in week out has got fans absolutely thrilled faithfuls who has beheld his sensational showings for them.
Considered one of the best in his position in world football, club manager Brendan Rodgers has often times admitted how lucky he is to have such a 'fantastic' player at his disposal and in all truth, City have seen their form tail off and their rampancy suffer whenever he is out of the side.
Earlier in the suspended season, the Foxes who are chasing Champions League qualification went on a dismal run of results, managing just a solitary win in six games in which the Nigerian was absent in due to an injury he picked up in early January.
His regimented dictation of play and awe-inspiring passes from deep has been the bedrock for his side's impressive performances this season in the top flight, and his goals and assisting too — one of which was a towering header to ruin Frank Lampard's Chelsea homecoming in a draw with the Blues on match day two.
Recently, his performances in the 23 games he has featured in the league got him recognition yet again when he was named the Leicester's Most Valuable Player of the 2019-2020 season.
Yet, even his teammates has been in awe of his displays, and one such like James Maddison feels he is the best in the things he does, repeatedly winning back possession, keeping the balls away from danger as well as springing quick counter attacks.
"I know N'Golo Kante is a brilliant player and there are players like that. But actually winning the ball back and taking the ball off the opposition, I don't think there is anyone better than Wilfred", Maddison said on Sky Sports.
Leicester still have a big job on the hands this season in securing their place in next season's Champions League, sitting five points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea, and the target is one in which the input of the Nigeria international will be pivotal to.
Will he eventually pull it off with the Leicestershire club, and thus get his second taste of Champions League football?
