Alloy Agu In Contact With Dual-Eligible Offensive Goalie Who Dreams Of Representing Nigeria
Published: April 23, 2020
Swiss-born goalkeeper Sebastian Osigwe is patiently waiting for a call-up to the Super Eagles and has revealed that he is contact with goalkeeping coach Alloy Agu.
Seven years ago, the SC Kriens glovesman was a member of the Flying Eagles squad to the Toulon Tournament in France, a side that contained Jamilu Collins, Semi Ajayi, Wilfred Ndidi and Moses Simon who have gone on to play competitively for the Super Eagles.
Osigwe has suggested that Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Francis Uzoho and Maduka Okoye are currently ahead of him in Gernot Rohr's pecking order of goalkeepers.
In an Instagram conversation with Eagles Tracker on Thursday night, Osigwe said : "I am still in contact with some players as well as the goalkeeper coach Alloy Agu but it is not about football.
"I think we have a good scouting department, the Nigeria Football Federation is doing the right job.
"The best players should be there, for this moment the best players are there.
"I am just trying to continue to do well at my clubside and if the invitation comes I'll be so proud and take it. That would come by God's grace."

The 26-year-old Osigwe has described himself as a goalkeeper who plays offensively and does not stick to his goal line.
In 20 outings for SC Kriens in the Swiss second-tier this season, he has posted eight shutouts and conceded 30 goals.
