Chukwueze Says Chelsea's Abraham Not In Same Bracket As Aubameyang, Names Fastest Eagles Players
Published: April 26, 2020
One of the emerging stars of African football, Samuel Chukwueze was quick to dismiss comparisons between Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Chelsea's Tammy Abraham, saying the England international is not in the same bracket as the Gabonese even though they are both center forwards.
Not taking into account previous seasons, Aubameyang has netted 20 goals in all competitions this term while former Nigerian Federation target Abraham, who is eight years younger, has tallied 15 goals, the last of which came in January.
Chukwueze reckons that Abraham and Lille striker Victor Osimhen are on the same level and can be compared with each other.
"You cannot compare Aubameyang and Tammy Abraham. Aubameyang has scored so many goals, he has done so many things," Chukwueze told Eagles Tracker via Instagram when asked to choose the better of the two strikers.
"You are supposed to be comparing Victor Osimhen and Tammy Abraham and I'll go with Victor."
When asked to name the fastest player in the Super Eagles, Chukwueze picked Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon.
Quizzed on the player he wants to play alongside in the Super Eagles but he's not yet in the team, he answered 'Kelechi Nwakali, he is so good'.
