Published: April 29, 2020
Former Super Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh has posited that Ajax Amsterdam goaltender Andre Onana is one of the best modern goalkeepers in the world, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Onana has enjoyed unbridled success with the Eredivisie side, winning the league title while reaching the semi-final of the Champions League last season and is reportedly on the radar of Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona as well as Premier League outfit Chelsea.
In a Twitter revelation, Oliseh has admonished the club to try and keep hold of the Cameroonian following his recent exit remarks, labelling him 'one of the best modern goalkeepers in the world'.
Reacting to a tweet by Bleacher Report, Oliseh wrote,
"Andre Onana is arguably one of the best 'modern' Goalkeepers in the world, Today. I hope Ajax do not lose this bundle of talent. A goalkeeper that wins points for the team."
Oliseh who spent two seasons with the former European champions between 1997 and 1999 made 54 league appearances for the club, with a certain Edwin van der Sar as the club's first-choice shot-stopper.
