The versatile fullback has put the disappointment of missing the 2018 World Cup behind him, saying it was a blessing in disguise.
After the tournament in Russia, Aina got out of his comfort zone to pursue a career in Italy with Torino, who initially signed him on loan before the deal was made permanent at the beginning of this season.

"I want to maintain a level that I have done my best, I am doing my best, a level that people can look at and say that's world class. A consistent level".
