Galatasaray Line Up Replacement For Monaco-Owned Winger Onyekuru
Published: May 08, 2020
Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have started preparing for life without Henry Onyekuru.
According to Tukrish media outlet Fotospor, Galatasaray have identified Boca Juniors' Colombia national-teamer Sebastian Villa as a replacement for Onyekuru if he departs the club at the end of this season.
The Istanbul powerhouse want to extend the loan of the Nigeria international by a year but Monaco, his parent club, are considering a permanent sale.
Prior to the capture of Onyekuru in the January transfer window, Galatasaray were heavily linked with a move for Villa.
The 22-year-old Nigerian has played seven games in the Super Lig since returning for a second spell with the Lions and has been involved in three goals (1 goal, 2 assists).
Onyekuru is tied to Monaco until the end of the 2023-2024 season and is valued at eight million euros by Transfermarkt.
