Super Eagles Hopeful Ejuke Trains With SC Heerenveen For The First Time Since March
Published: May 11, 2020
Super Eagles hopeful Chidera Ejuke was among the SC Heerenveen players that trained at the Sportpark Skoatterwâld on Monday, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The winger had not trained with the Dutch Eredivsie outfit since early March as a result of the coronavirus outbreak that crippled sporting activities across the globe.
In keeping with the guidelines provided by the authorities, each member of the squad came to training alone and thoroughly cleaned their hands before entering the pitch, the official website of SC Heerenveen has informed.
Ejuke was SC Heerenveen's standout player before the season was cancelled, scoring 10 goals and setting up six others in 29 games across all competitions.
His form in the 2019-2020 campaign has led to speculation linking him with a departure from SC Heerenveen in the summer transfer window, with Feyenoord and teams based in China and United Arab Emirates mentioned as possible destinations.
The Eredivisie is not expected to resume for the 2020-2021 campaign until at least September 1, 2020.
