'Ejuke Has To Be Sold First' - Ex-Feyenoord Winger Eager To Replace Nigerian At Heerenveen
Published: June 02, 2020
Former Feyenoord winger Joël Zwarts has been touted as a potential replacement for Chidera Ejuke if he departs SC Heerenveen in the upcoming transfer window.
The Excelsior star is eager to join Heerenveen but he's aware that the Nigerian must be sold before any deal can take place.
Feyenoord and Ajax Amsterdam have been mentioned as possible destinations for Ejuke and he has received concrete offers from Chinese and United Arab Emirates clubs.
"Heerenveen is a very nice club," said Zwarts to Algemeen Dagblad (via voetbalprimeur).
"But first Ejuke has to be sold before I can start a conversation. It remains to be seen."
The flamboyant Ejuke, the top dribbler in the
Eredivisie for the 2019-2020 campaign, put himself in the shop window
after contributing to 16 goals (10 goals, 6 assists) in 29 matches
across all competitions.
The 22-year-old has roughly three years to run on his contract with Heerenveen.
