Rohr's Assistant Confirms He Ran The Rule Over Heerenveen Winger Ejuke Pre-COVID
Gernot Rohr's assistant, Tunde Adelakun has confirmed that he observed Heerenveen dazzler Chidera Ejuke before the coronavirus pandemic with a view to a call-up to the Super Eagles.

The English-based talent spotter revealed that Nigeria Professional Football League players will be considered for invitation to the national team, adding that there is quality in the league.

So many Super Eagles fans want to see crowd-pleaser Ejuke make his senior debut for Nigeria but it is understood that manager Gernot Rohr has not contacted him about an invitation.

"Most of the players who are playing in Europe today came out of the Nigerian Professional Football League. Not long ago, before this COVID-19 thing broke, we looked at a player, Ejuke," Adelakun said to Channels Television.

"Ejuke plays in Heerenveen in the Netherlands, he is a product of the NPFL, an immediate product, not too long ago he was in Nigeria so there is quality and the clubs abroad see that quality in him. They have always seen it.

"I am in no doubt that there is quality in the NPFL, we need to harness that quality, we need to have a plan for our team, for our players, so that the step up to the Super Eagles will be relatively easier and smoother but the quality is there without a shadow of doubt."

In the 2019-2020 season, the 22-year-old Ejuke netted 10 goals in 29 games while producing six assists.
