Official : Queens Park Rangers Announce Nigerian Midfielder's Return To Tottenham Hotspur
Published: July 24, 2020
Through their official website, Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers have announced that Welwyn Garden City-born Nigerian midfielder Luke Amos has returned to his parent club Tottenham Hotspur following the conclusion of the 2019-2020 season.
Spurs and the Hoops had an agreement that would have kept Amos at The Hoops until June 30, 2020, but the season-long loan deal had to be extended for a further month due to the protracted season.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder made 35 appearances in total for QPR over the course of his loan spell and was in action for 2,148 minutes.
His two goals were scored in a 5-3 loss Barnsley on matchday 22 of the Championship, and he played his last game on the final day of the season against Semi Ajayi's West Brom.
Amos previously enjoyed loan spells at Southend United and Stevenage.
He made his competitive debut for Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the 2018-2019 season at Newcastle United.
