Gunners Hero Kanu Reacts To Arsenal's 1-0 Win Against Manchester United
Published: November 02, 2020
Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu has taken to social media to react to Arsenal's hard-fought 1-0 win against Manchester United in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Sunday evening.
Prior to the meeting against the Red Devils, the Gunners had not beaten any of their top six rivals away from home since a 2-0 victory against Manchester City in 2015 but the unwanted record ended thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's game-winning goal.
The Gabonese striker broke the deadlock midway through the second half as he converted a penalty awarded after Paul Pogba clipped the ankle of Hector Bellerin.
Arteta became the first Arsenal manager to win his first two games against Manchester United since Herbert Chapman following yesterday's victory.
Kanu faced Manchester United 17 times during his playing days in England, scoring three goals - two while at Arsenal at the other when he was a Portsmouth player.
Writing on Twitter, the former Gunners number 25 stated : "Done and dusted come on you Arsenal @arsenal job well done 👍 we move #coyg #afc #gunners #arsenal @aftvmedia".
Kanu won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups and the FA Charity Shield before he departed Arsenal in the summer of 2004.
