PSV Eindhoven's Madueke Continues Impressive Performance With Goal Against RKC Waalwijk
Published: December 20, 2020Former Tottenham Hotspur youth-teamer Nonso Madueke was among the scorers as PSV Eindhoven defeated RKC Waalwijk 4-1 in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday night.
The 18-year-old continued his fine form in 2020-2021 by wrapping up the scoring in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time after coming off the bench at minute 67.
Madueke showed good footwork to create space for himself and fired a left-footed shot past goalkeeper Konstantinos Lamprou from inside the box.
Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Ihattaren and Denzel Dumfries were the other scorers for PSV, and Finn Stokkers pulled a goal back for the home team.
With his strike vs RKC Waalwijk, Madueke has now been involved in eight goals ( 5 goals, 3 assists) in his tweleve appearances in the Dutch top-flight , of which three were starts.
The attacking midfielder cum winger was one of the key players for PSV in the group stage of the Europa League, with a hand in three goals in five matches, helping them reach the round of 32 where they face Olympiakos.
Madueke signed a contract extension with PSV in March 2020, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2023-2024 season.
