Queens Park Rangers' Osayi-Samuel Wins And Converts Penalty In Draw Vs Norwich City
Published: December 30, 2020
Bright Osayi-Samuel helped Queens Park Rangers salvage a draw with Championship table-toppers Norwich City at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.
The Canaries thought they had snatched all three points when Teemu Pukki converted a controversial spot kick awarded by referee Oliver Langford in the 75th minute, only to see the Nigerian-born winger equalise with six minutes remaining.
Osayi-Samuel won a penalty after he was bundled over by Hanley and the number 11 dusted himself down to put the penalty into the top corner for 1-1.
In the third minute of stoppage time, Osayi-Samuel missed a glorious chance to make it 2-1, failing to covert from close range after a delivery from Adomah.
He has directly contributed to six goals (3 goals, 3 assists) in 20 league games this term, of which nineteen were starts.
Two 18-year-olds of Nigerian descent, Andrew Omobamidele and Tyrese Omotoye, wearing the number 44 and 53 jersey respectively were non-playing substitutes for Norwich City.
