Four Arsenal Starlets Of Nigerian Descent Hail One-Time NFF Target Saka After MOTM Display Vs Brighton
Published: December 30, 2020
Arsenal made it two wins from two English Premier League matches, beating Brighton & Hove 1-0 at the American Express Community Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench to replace Gabriel Martinelli in the 66th minute and 21 seconds later the Frenchman bagged what proved to be the winning goal.
Saka made a brilliant run down the right flank before passing to the Gunners number nine who bent the ball into the bottom corner.
Now an England international, Saka was heavily courted by the Nigeria Football Federation before he became cap-tied to his country of birth last month, making his fourth appearance vs Iceland as an U21 player.
He took to Instagram to celebrate the win against the Seagulls, writing : "What a win ! Enjoy gunners ❤️ @lacazettealex 🤝".
The post drew reactions from four Arsenal youngsters of Nigerian descent James Olayinka, Arthur Okonkwo, Miguel Azeez and Folarin Balogun.
Here's what they wrote praising fellow Hale End Academy product Saka after his Man-of-the-Match performance :
James Olayinka : "🐐".
Arthur Okonkwo : "🔥🔥"
Miguel Azeez : "Bukks😍"
Folarin Balogun : "Heating up 🔥"
