Through a statement on their official website, Spanish Primera División side Club Atlético de Madrid Femenino have announced the capture of former Nigeria U17 skipper Rasheedat Ajibade.
The Super Falcon has inked a deal with Las Rojiblancas until 2022, ending her two-and-a-half-year association with Avaldnes in the process.
A product of FC Robo, which produced Barcelona's Asisat Oshoala, Ajibade has represented Nigeria at the U17, U20 and Women's World Cups, and was part of the squad that won the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations.
One of the most promising Nigerian players, she is comfortable playing as an attacking midfielder, winger and center forward.
In her first words after the deal was confirmed, Ajibade stated : "It is a great privilege and an opportunity to be here. I am excited to be a part of this team and I hope that together we achieve success.
"It is a great step in my career and a great challenge for me and I am ready to give it my all".
Atlético de Madrid Femenino are sitting third in the Primera División standings with 27 points after thirteen matches played.
