Iheanacho's superb volley at Burnley voted Leicester City's Goal of the Month
Published: April 08, 2021
Kelechi Iheanacho's sublime volley against Burnley in the English Premier League has been voted Leicester City's Goal of the Month for March 2021, informs the Foxes via their official Twitter account.
The Nigeria national teamer was quadruple nominated for the Goal of the Month prize, with his effort versus Brighton & Hove, plus two of his strikes against The Blades also making the ten-goal shortlist.
Against Burnley on March 3, Iheanacho volleyed the ball first time
into the net after a brilliant chip over the top by international teammate Wilfred Ndidi.
Iheanacho saw off competition from Leicester City's first team stars Ayoze Pérez and Youri Tielemans, LCFC
Women trio Shannon O'Brien, Esmee De Graaf and Sam Tierney, and
development squad player Kasey McAteer to win the monthly accolade.
The current Premier League Player of the Month was rewarded with a new three-year deal shortly after the international break, keeping him at the King Power Stadium until at least 2024.
Iheanacho was in a rich vein of form last month, scoring seven goals in four appearances across all competitions.
