Published: November 10, 2025
As of 8:37 a.m. on Monday, ten players invited for Nigeria’s 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon's Panthers had reported for international duty in Rabat, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Al-Kholood centre-back William Troost-Ekong, Brentford loanee Benjamin Fredrick and Nantes defender Chidozie Awaziem have all reported for international duty.
The early arrivals included Fulham trio Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze, Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Tolu Arokodare, ex-Golden Eaglets star Olakunle Olusegun, Besiktas midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Paris FC dazzler Moses Simon.
Eleven more players are expected to join the squad later on Monday as the Super Eagles commence preparations for the crucial, winner-takes-all clash with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and his teammates.
As of the time of filing this report, Stanley Nwabali, Maduka Okoye, Amas Obasogie, Semi Ajayi, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Bruno Onyemaechi, Zaidu Sanusi, Frank Onyeka, Alhassan Yusuf, Ademola Lookman, Victor Osimhen, Chidera Ejuke, Akor Adams and Raphael Onyedika were yet to arrive in the Moroccan capital.
Nigeria will face Gabon in Rabat on Thursday, and victory in that encounter would see them advance to the African playoff final against either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo on November 16.
