'I really like Arsenal' - Racing Genk striker Onuachu reveals his dream club
Published: April 25, 2021
Racing Genk striker Paul Onuachu has revealed his dream to play for English Premier League club Arsenal.
The Belgian First Division A side are resigned to losing the Nigeria international in the summer as he has put himself in the shop window with a string of brilliant displays this campaign.
Onuachu, who has tallied 33 goals from 37 appearances for club and country in 2020-2021, is hoping to follow in the footsteps of his idols Emmanuel Adebayor and Nwankwo Kanu by joining Arsenal.
When asked about a possible departure from Genk and his dream destination, Onuachu said to Sporza : "I really like Arsenal.
"Adebayor, one of the players I admired most, played there. I really was a fan of him, including Kanu. I really love watching Arsenal too".
Danish champions FC Midtjylland stand to profit from the future sale of Onuachu, having inserted a sell-on clause into the deal taking their former player to Genk in the summer of 2019.
The 26-year-old is hoping to win his first silverware as a Racing Genk player this evening when they take on Standard Liege in the Belgian Cup final.
